On September 4, 2009, New Life Church of Gahanna will be sponsoring our 4th annual charity Classic Car Cruise-In to benefit G.R.I.N. (Gahanna Residence In Need). The event will be held on the grounds on New Life Church Gahanna(suburb of Columbus) located at 690 Stygler Rd. "Car Tunes on Main", Sat. Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to midnight, will include a community cruise from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. After 3 p.m. cars will start parking on Main St. and side streets, but must first stop in at Marathon's Parking lot. The event includes specialty cars, a family activity area and great music all day long.
    Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the many ways United Way contributions helps our community. United Way partner agencies will be providing family activities and games in Dorney Plaza, from 6-8 p.m., while also educating the public on the services they offer to the community.
       The Flag City Corvette Club is managing the registration for the community cruise as well as the registration for the downtown Car Show. Registration is $15 and includes both the cruise and the car show. Registration will be from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Cars will be parked on Main St. and side streets from 3-6:30 p.m. For the safety of all participants, cars leaving early will not be able to re-enter the event.    Flag City Morning Rotary will be hosting a beer garden from 3 p.m. to midnight in the parking lot across from the Courthouse. Mid-Life Crisis will play from 3-7 and Tongue â N Groove will take the stage at 8 p.m. The cost of admission to this area is free.
The Guitar Ranch will be hosting a rock off, featuring the video game Guitar Hero.  The Guitar Ranch Rock Off will be held in Latham Courtyard between 3 and 7 p.m.
